The ATA Tiger curriculum was developed specifically for preschool age children 3 through 6. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, confidence, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions.
The curriculum provides students with fun and exciting training tailored to their age group. Tigers mirror our Karate for Kids program at a slightly slower pace, with additional focus on learning life skills like concentration and patience.
The rank and testing system used by the Tigers is slightly different than the older kids. Each of the Tigers belts are linked to an animal character: Tiger for orange belt; Cheetah for yellow; Lion for camo; Eagle for green; Phoenix for purple; Dragon for blue; Cobra for brown; Panther for red. All eight patches, when earned, can be displayed on the child’s uniform. Each character has its own unique story which is used during class to help teach our life skills.
